Vinyasa and the environment

A desire to preserve the natural world comes easily to those who immerse themselves in the beauty of their surroundings by practicing outdoor activities.

Here at Vinyasa Retreats we wish to promote some of the pastimes which naturally increase social and environmental awareness.

We operate a Leave No Trace policy at all our yoga retreat locations and activity sites, ensuring that we leave them exactly as we found them (if not even cleaner).

The nature of what we provide makes it easy to avoid excessive waste. With no raw materials except food, only vegetable off cuts and a few recyclables are left at the end of each day.

Our primary environmental concern for the yoga retreat is fuel usage during the necessary travel involved in coming to the retreats and local travel to the areas where we practice the activities. To minimize the fuel used during the yoga retreats, our locations will be selected for their proximity to the areas used to practice activities as well as their quality and charm.

We will ensure guests are able to share transport from airports to the yoga retreat by putting them in contact with each other prior to arranging their travel plans and use the minimum number vehicles whenever traveling. We are currently researching having LPG conversion fitted on our retreat vehicles to further decrease our fuel usage.
Flora & Fauna

Daily provisions will be bought by the Vinyasa team at local, organic suppliers when returning from the days activities in order to avoid the necessity of a dedicated food run and reduce waste through over stocking.

Not content with just running an environmentally aware company, we want to lead by example and inspire guests at our yoga retreat to continue living in a healthy and conscious manner.
