Retreat Activities

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga

Mark Freeth will be guiding us through a dynamic practice based on Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga everyday at the retreat. Drawing on gymnastic influences, it is a strong, aerobic and fast moving form, more explosive than the traditional, gentle, meditative archetype most people think of as yoga.

The afternoon ashtanga yoga workshops will explore specific areas in depth; such as back bending, jump-throughs, breathing, opening hips, core etc. The areas covered in the afternoon sessions will be dictated by what you most need to work on and also to inspire you to try new movements.

Climbing

Climbing coaching sessions will cover the basics of climbing safely, use of equipment and movement on rock.

For those that already know the basics, coaching can be focused on improving skills and learning new techniques. The climbing coaching sessions will be tailored to your level and ability.

Our retreats are yoga orientated and those not interested in climbing will be offered extra yoga instruction or more time to enjoy the area.

Relaxation Time

You will have two free afternoons per week with exclusive use of the Chateau (sharing with just 4 other guests). This time can be spent relaxing and exploring the local area; walking through beautiful landscapes, visiting nearby villages and other activities. We can provide local information and advice so that you make the most of your time to see the area.

We hope to have a masseuse attend future retreats.
